MILOfest (the 3 day convention for Mac using lawyers from MILO) is November 10-12 in Orlando this year. I will be speaking on OS X Lion as well as using the iPad in your law practice. Launch of iPadESQ – iPad Apps for Lawyers

TechnoEsq is proud to announce the launch of iPadESQ, a website dedicated to lawyers using the iPad in their legal practice. Having heard from so many attorneys who use the iPad and their requests for my list of iPad Apps I recommend in my seminars, we here at TechnoEsq thought it would be a good idea to have a centralized location for our recommended apps and our reviews/opinions of them.

Don’t worry though, I will still post here about the iPad in general and maybe one or two apps which I think every lawyer should know about. Who knows, maybe if you see some of the really amazing apps for the iPad you will decide to buy one for yourself. Didn’t I mention I call the iPad the “gateway drug” to Mac products?

Back by popular demand is the Kentucky Justice Association’s iPad for Lawyers half-day seminar – iPad for Lawyers II (I like to call it Part Deux) on June 23, 2011. After hearing from our attendees, we have added a on hour session which starts at 9:00 am which will cover setting up your iPad and how to use it in general. Immediately thereafter will begin a more in depth 3 hour session covering more advanced topics such as programs for the iPad specifica to lawyers and litigating attorneys. Space is limited as we are trying to keep the ratio low to allow for more individualized help in setting up the iPad as well as in answering specific questions to your legal practice – so sign up now!

I will be speaking at the ABA TechShow on April 11, 2011, in Chicago this year. I am proud to be speaking twice, first on Managing your Documents on Your Mac with Mark Metzger at 2:30 and then again at 4:30 in a panel format entitled Mac Power Users with my friends Brett Burney and Ben Stevens. This is the 25th anniversary of the ABA TechShow and the fourth year for a dedicated Mac Track at the annual convention.

There are 18 different educational tracks for lawyers, so you will have a diverse selection of sessions concerning attorneys and law firms using technology. Picking a Jury? There’s an App for That!

I was interviewed for an article in LawyersUSA Online on the recently reviewed app, iJuror, on TechnoEsq. Of course, iJuror has made some improvements since our review and the article, with the most recent being able to make selections for multiple jurors at a time. There aren’t a lot of apps which are specifically made for attorneys in litigation so if you haven’t given iJuror, on TechnoEsq. Of course, iJuror a look, make sure you do here.
