ABA TechShow Interview Demonstrating the New ScanSnap S1500

Derek Flower of Fujitsu USA gave us a demonstration (see below) of the new ScanSnap S1500. The S1500 is faster and easier to use than the previous S510 model it is designed to replace for the same price. The only difference between the S1500(PC) and S1500m (Mac) will be the bundled software. Just as with the previous S510 and S510m, the Windows version will come with Adobe Acrobat Standard 9.0 and the Mac version will come with Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.0. Seeing as we prefer Acrobat 8.0 over 9.0, we think this suits us just fine. Among the numerous other changes with the S1500 are the ability through the Windows document managing software included with the ScanSnap to create keyword metadata for your scanned PDF files. Why do you prefer 9 to 8 on Acrobat Pro for Mac? I have updated all my Acrobat licenses to 9.0. I want the new scanner, but want 9.0. The Organizer he refers to is PC only correct? It isn't included in the ScanSnap S510M, but was on my old PC scanner. Interesting that they hardware is the same now. When 9.0 is included I am purchasing. I like the misfeed and faster scanning. I Love the ScanSnap scanners--second only to my Mac!
