Well, I had my mediation today in one of my personal injury cases. This case was an atypical disputed red light at an intersection with the resultant T-bone type collision. The injuries to the client were fairly severe, despite the relaively low medical expenses due to her not being a surgical candidate. I have posted a video of the Keynote I created and will continue this practice so that my readers can hopefully see the progressive improvement in my use of this program.
I did not include excerpts from our depositions in this mediation though I typically do so. The reason is that I did not want to clutter up what was otherwise a nice clean display of the injuries to my clients back and flank as well as the damage to her vehicle. In particular, I brought a lot of attention to the type of damage done to my client’s 1982 Ford F150 simply because these old Ford trucks were built from all steel as opposed to the new thinner and lighter trucks. Thus the damage profile on this vehicle, while severe, would have been much worse had this been a new Ford F150.
You can download my presentation by clicking on the image to the right. The keynote has been exported to a quicktime movie which doesn’t require you to press any buttons to have it progress to the next slide. So it will progress to the next slide after 5 seconds and should give you a good idea of what the keynote looked like. Obviously, time was spent on portions of the keynote when a lot of discussion was given concerning the lost wages, the medical expenses and the damage to her vehicle.
I’d love to hear your feedback on it and welcome any criticism you may have so that I can progress with my use of Keynote.
