I apologize to all of our readers for the lack of posting since the beginning of this month. I had an emergency appendectomy on June 8th and while I came home that night, I developed pneumonia three days later and was admitted to the hospital on the 12th. After spending the weekend on antibiotics and other medications, they discovered that the pain in my abdomen I was complaining about was actually not “normal” and was actually an abscess. So on the 15th they did a CT guided drainage of the abscess, taking out 60cc’s of fluid from the surgery site. After spending a week in the hospital, I was released home for the weekend with Percocet to try and take the place of the Dilaudid they had been giving me for my pain.
Needless to say, I of course overdid it upon my return home, taking our dog Shelby to the dog park and taking a quick trip to Kroger where I ran into Judge Willett. I was on heavy medication at the time so there is no telling what I told him. Waking up this morning I have now realized that my discharge papers were serious when they instructed me to have plenty of rest; I feel like I was run over by a train.
So I am now resting, but promise to begin posting as usual this week. We have a great number of posts scheduled, including our review of the new Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500 which replaces the venerable S500 series as well as PaperShow’s incredible new product (all I can say is think of the LiveScribe pen, but as an overhead display tool). Thanks to everyone who sent their well-wishes and for everyone’s patience as I “get back in the saddle”.
