A new service being offered by My Mobile Witness has taken the cellphone video craze to a new level. Their service offers users the ability to take a cellphone video or snapshot of an activity as it occurs, an officer tasering their friend at a frat party or an unruly bar patron about to beat the user senseless, and then have the video/photo uploaded to My Mobile Witness immediately with any information you text along with it. There the digital information is time-stamped and ‘officially’ ready for use in any potential future legal matter. Once the information is uploaded, it cannot be erased or retrieved except by subpoena or court order.
The service was created by two real-estate firm owners who were spooked by a novel about a serial killer killing real-estate agents. They then created the service to allow real-estate agents to take pictures of client’s at the initial meeting for future legal protection.
Be on the look out for My Mobile Witness in your legal practice and if you do see it, be sure to drop us a line.
