Where JMDictate differs from a regular dictaphone is it’s ability to leverage the iPhone/iTouch connectivity to distribute dictations. JMDictate can send dictation as WAV files via email, download to your computer’s dictation software, to an FTP or WebDAV server or to a workflow system. All of these Internet-enabled sharing options use SSL/TLS encryption automatically to ensure the safety of your confidential client information within your dictation.

Thus you can now safely and securely dictate while on the move in your car or in vacation in the Bahamas and immediately transfer your dictation to your transcriptionist instead of having to wait for your dictaphone to make its way back to your computer for uploading. However, this does not mean you are safe from your spouse while dictating on vacation.

JMDictate comes in a free version which allows you to use the app fully with a limitation of 30 seconds per dictation with a limit of 5 files. The full version has a 90 minute limitation on any given dictation with only your device’s memory to limit the number of files.
